General Licences

All of our licences are based on one of the following licences. The model chosen depends on you as the customer. 

Personal General Use Licence

  • Free with every purchase
  • Use for your leisure with friends and family
  • Make unlimited hard copies
  • 2 concurrent copies included in the licence as standard
  • Use commercially
  • Sell
  • Distribute
  • Publish
  • Lending out
  • Share digital files

Organisational General Use Licence

  • Price based on number of staff and orders per year
  • No annual retainer payable
  • 5 full time equivalent members of staff included as standard
  • Use for non-commercial activity within your organisation
  • Non-commercial use on your premises by visitors, contractors and staff
  • Make unlimited hard copies
  • 2 concurrent copies per member of staff included in the licence as standard
  • Special licence conditions for administrative use only available
  • Use commercially
  • Sell
  • Distribute
  • Publish
  • Lend out
  • Share digital files

Licence extensions

Licence extensions are granted on an application basis, though we will not deny a licence extension without good reason. If none of our current licencing options suit your needs please let us know and we will be more than happy to discuss individual terms with you.

Commercial Licence

  • Cost based on your annual turnover
  • Annual retainer payable according to payment schedule (10% of base fee)
  • Applies to all products in your name
  • Use commercially
  • Use by paying clients
  • Lend out - e.g. to explore a site
  • Additional hard copies included in licence
  • Sell
  • Distribute
  • Publish
  • Share digital files

Distribution Licence

  • Royalties calculated per product
  • Limited to specific products only
  • Distribute for others to keep
  • Make hard copies for the purpose of distribution
  • Recover some expenses
  • Use by paying clients
  • Sell for commercial gain
  • Circumvent the hard copy limit when using commercially
  • Publish
  • Share digital files

Sale Licence

  • Royalties calculated per product
  • Limited to specific products only
  • RRP by agreement
  • Sell for profit
  • Make hard copies for the purpose of selling
  • Publish
  • Share digital files
